Michelle Malone new album and Summer Tour

Michelle Malone is one of those artists that gets both mad love from fans and mad respect from her peers. That’s because she has a classic rock and roll style and she makes music that’s individual and exciting. Her new album Stronger Than You Think is a start-to-finish winner, and after it drops later this month, Michelle will be taking the new songs on the road, much to the delight of her many loyal fans.

After a career of a dozen albums and collaborations with people like the Indigo Girls (who Michelle will be touring with this summer) Gregg Allman, Steve Earle and ZZ Top, what she presents in Stronger Than You Think is a collection of songs that are fresh, vibrant and booty-kicking, all amplified with her tuff-girl attitude. She produced the album, along with Gerry Hansen, and she had a little help from her friends, Sugarland’s Kristian Bush and Indigo Girl Amy Ray, who each contributed to one of the songs. Michelle calls nearby Decatur, Georgia her home and Stronger Than You Think also showcases the talents of friends Michael Steele, Trish Land, Ben Holst, Vic Stafford and the threesome of Dan Remel, Jess Scarpone and Dylan Hansen.

What we like the most about Michelle’s music is that, when you’re listening to it, you really feel like you are there with her, in her memories, and in her experiences. She has this magical gift of her music surrounding you and enveloping you like a living daydream. Through this gift, she’s able to co-relate to you and share with you. It’s very special. It’s music that touches you, and you feel a kinship with the artist and truly feel like you have felt the emotions yourself.

Having toured every state in America plus international appearances in Germany, France, Switzerland, Mexico and Australia, and with press accolades from the likes of Rolling Stone, Guitar World and Billboard, Michelle Malone has been certified awesome again and again. If you know her music already, you’ll surely appreciate the upbeat and bright vibe of her new album, and if you haven’t gotten to know this very talented artist yet, Stronger Than You Think is a great place to start. Very Highly Recommended.

Chase Coy to release Youth on June 23

Here at RUST Magazine we’ve been fans of Chase Coy ever since we heard his Sun Culture album last year, and we were super happy to get a chance to hear more from him this year with his June 23rd release Youth. This is a great, stylistic artist with beautiful songwriting vision and admirable tech skills, and he has a special ability to make music that captures the moment, on many levels. As a social observer, and as a person with brevity of personal insight, his music is sweet, poignant and memorable.

This indie-folk artist/producer hails from Indiana, and his music has become global in it’s relevance as advance tracks from this album have been getting rave reviews while racking up thousands of plays on Soundcloud and Spotify. People are catching on that Chase Coy has something special. That’s because his music is right here, right now. He speaks to the listener with privacy at the same time he speaks to all of us like an electrified tribal leader, both by tuning into the deep feelings we all share. Dreams, memories, desires and heartaches are all part of the colorful collage of Chase Coy’s music, just like these elements are part of all of our everyday lives.

It’s all about connecting. Chase Coy connects with his inner feelings and this connection links him to listeners individually and to all of us in the global community. That’s because he’s in touch with himself, you, and all of us. To be able to make those connections is a rare and special gift, and Youth is clearly the result of a long trail of self-discovery.

Chase Coy’s Youth is an album of substance and importance. It’s beautiful, emotion-filled music that speaks to us right now. It’s music of this moment, like a snapshot in time. RUST Magazine thoroughly recommends Youth and you can pre-order it right here:
